Priyanka, Alia, Sonam, Anushka, Karan Condemn The Attack On Sanjay Leela Bhansali
What happened with the celebrated filmmaker in Jaipur was no less than a shocker. Almost the entire Bollywood fraternity is standing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Here’s what they expressed on social media about the horrendous incident...
The Padmavati crew had erected a huge set at Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur, where a number of important scenes of the film were to be shot. The stage was set and the cameras were ready to roll. However, the moment Karni Sena activists got a whiff of the matter, they landed on the set and began damaging it. Reason? Distortion of historical facts, they say. While his team tried to protect SLB, a blow landed straight on the cowering, unarmed, filmmaker.
A shocked and angry Bollywood immediately took to social media to express their angst against this hooliganism. Actors, directors, singers and the entire film fraternity stood together in support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, condemning the attack.
Karan Johar who was shocked about the entire incident, shared a series of tweets.
Am appalled at what has happened with Sanjay Bhansali....this is the time for all us as an industry to stand by our people and fraternity!!

We have hit a curve in history where the film industry has to abandon its politics of silence. Silence now will tantamount to betrayal.

Sad to see how people have become 2day. Violence is never the medium4 communication. There are others ways to make a point.#SanjayBhansali

That's what the industry thinks about this shameful incident, which could have happened to anyone. Democracy gives you the right to express which includes protest. But surely democracy does not give you the right to hit and inflict injury to someone. As Karan Johar rightly said, "This cannot be our future."
